There is also a market place in La Cala de Mijas every Wednesday.

La Cala de Mijas resort is about 20 minutes drive from the airport, 10 minutes to Fuengirola and 15 minutes to Marbella. It was once a fishing village in earlier days and some of the houses are still here. The "new" town has grown in the recent years and now La Cala de ‌Mijas ‌offers ‌international ‌cuisine, many ‌shops ‌and ‌one ‌of the ‌best beaches on the ‌Costa del ‌Sol. It ‌is so ‌central that ‌you ‌actually ‌do ‌not ‌need ‌a ‌car.
